Over the weekend, “La Vie Nous Appartient” won the Utopia Award of the Castellinaria International Young Film Festival in Bellinzona, Switzerland! Congratulations!
The prize is awarded by a jury aged 16-20 to “the film that best spreads the magic of utopia.” We are especially proud of this award, not only because this critical age group is our main target group, but also because it was especially important to us to make a positive film about hope, not a depressing story of suicide. Thanks to the young jury (who incidentally also found time to shoot their own short thriller during their time in Bellinzona – amazing!), and also to artistic director Giancarlo Zappoli, President Gino Buscaglia, and the entire festival team for making us feel so welcome!
Our director Alex K. Lee also answered some questions about “La Vie Nous Appartient” in this behind the scenes footage from the festival (his comments starting at about 1.40). Castellinaria – Day 7
